Deze eco-vriendelijke luxe twin yurt bestaat uit twee aangrenzende authentieke Mongoolse yurt pods, waardoor dit een geweldige keuze is voor vier volwassenen of twee volwassenen met kinderen die op zoek zijn naar een duurzame zonvakantie. Beide yurts zijn ingericht met luxe stoffen; de grotere, 28 m², de yurt heeft een marmeren vloer, super kingsize tweepersoonsbed en bank in de woonkamer, terwijl de kleinere, 8 vierkante meter, de yurt heeft een houten vloer en twee eenpersoonsbedden ideaal voor kinderen. Gratis snelle wifi inbegrepen en een extra z-bed en / of kinderbedje kan worden toegevoegd aan de grotere yurt indien nodig.
De massieve vloeren en traditionele tweehuidse covers houden de yurts tochtvrij en zorgen voor een constante omgevingstemperatuur. Centrale dakramen zorgen voor ventilatie en romantisch sterrenkijken.
Buiten hebben de yurts hun eigen inloopdouche met W.C. en een volledig ingerichte keuken met een ontbijtbar met granieten. Ontspan en geniet van de privacy van de schaduwrijke daybedden of geniet van de zon op uw ligstoelen. Voor de maaltijd u gebruikmaken van de barbecue en de bamboe eethut, beide op uw eigen omheinde terras en tuin. Er is een tweede, gedeelde, douche en toilet, overdekte keuken en lounge in het zwembad en chill-out gebied in de buurt. Het yurts terras en de buitenruimte zijn omheind en omheind.

Arrieta
Het dorp Arrieta heeft 400 inwoners en ligt in de noordelijke gemeente Haria, het meest traditionele gebied van Lanzarote en is ideaal voor de meer onafhankelijke reiziger. Dit noordelijke deel van Lanzarote biedt geen speciaal gebouwde resorts zoals Costa Teguise, Puerto Del Carmen of Playa Blanca. Arrieta is een klein traditioneel Canarische vissersdorp dat heeft geleerd zich aan te passen aan de eisen van een aantal low-key toerisme. Het dorp biedt onder andere prachtige visrestaurants aan zee, een zeer goede pizzeria en een supermarkt. Arrieta is, net zoals de andere dorpjes in het noorden, vredig en rustig. Het is de perfecte plek als u even weg wilt zijn van de neon-verlichte bars en nachtclubs, die je veel ziet in het toeristische resorts van Lanzarote. We loved our stay at the finca! My husband runs his own businesses and can be very hard to please but he gave our stay 10 stars! The yurts were lovely, it was great the kids had their own space. We loved cooking and eating outdoors. Paella night was very enjoyable and I enjoyed doing yoga too. The kids made friends at the swimming pool and play area. I loved feeding the chickens and having fresh eggs. I’d never visited the Canaries before- I’d also been a bit put off thinking they’d be very touristy. We were so pleasantly surprised by the North of Lanzarote though- we loved visiting the Cesar Manrique sites and it was great to be able to walk to a Sandy quiet beach. The beach restaurants were excellent. All in all a great holiday, I’d love to return in the future.

It is a magical place. The whole family loved it. We have picked up many eco ideas to take home and it is a wonderful space for children where they feel free. We have seen our son enjoy himself very much. The room is wonderful, very practical and different from what we are used to. The location is unbeatable, quiet area but with everything at hand. The hosts and the social environment is very familiar and close. Without a doubt we would repeat.

We have just come back from our best family holiday yet at Finca de Arrieta! We stayed in their Eco Twin Yurt and were really impressed with the set-up and feel of the Finca. Super helpful staff and lovely vibe. Our kids adored the pool, which we feared would be too small, but was in fact perfect for kids, while we could relax and read our books in the sun. Lots to explore on the island too. Would definitely recommend it!

Staying in the yurts is an amazing experience. This was our third time in the last ten years and this time we brought our toddler, who absolutely loved it. Feeding the chickens, ducks and seeing the donkeys was so much fun her our little one. There is a fantastic play park on site, it’s all very calm and quiet and you can hear the sea at night. Totally recommend this place for children but it’s also a chilled place for adults too. We will definitely return for a fourth time next year!”

We came over in October for a half term family break with my two children, from the moment we stepped off the plane we were treated like part of the family.
Everybody was extremely welcoming and accommodating and we found lots of family friendly things to do a lot of which cost very little or completely free.
We absolutely loved the yurts and the eco aspect of the resort. The beaches were amazing and only a very short walk from our yurt.
It’s especially difficult to find a holiday to suit my whole family as I have adult children as well as younger children one of whom is autistic and very difficult to please, she loved Lanzarote retreats so much we are planning to come back again this year.
For us this holiday ticked all the boxes, tucked away far enough from the tourist parts to be quiet yet close enough for us to enjoy that when we chose to.
Highly recommend Lanzarote retreats as a great family getaway.

No Electronics
So the kids spend their time jumping the trampoline, feeding the donkeys, watching the clouds finding imaginary animals there as they traveled the sky .. and ending the evening making a puzzle. What an amazing place.
Our Yurt is big & beautiful decorated. There is an outdoor kitchen with everything you need .. A beautiful bathroom and small areas around the Yurt where you can relax during the day.

Stayed with our two kids for two weeks in a combination of villa (Casa Lila) and yurt (Twin Yurt) in August and had such a relaxing time. The villa was lovely, very well equipped and peaceful in a small fishing village but the yurt on the eco resort was amazing. Beautifully furnished, lots of outside space to chill out and beautiful communal facilities and swimming pool. Enables the children to experience a different experience to staying in a hotel without the parents having to suffer actual camping! Will definitely return.

A friend and I stayed in the Twin Yurt part of the complex (made up of mostly yurts and and a few buildings) and had a fantastic time. Our yurt area was private, as are all of the others, clean, had excellent facilities including an outdoor kitchen, a hammock and covered table and seating. It is a very relaxed, truly chilled place to stay with very friendly and helpful staff. The small local beach is lovely, there are very good local restaurants and cafes to eat at and a reliable local bus service to get about on if you don't have a car. The Lanzarote Retreat holiday compound is a very calming and very special place to stay. My friend and I loved it and loved the strange volcanic island too. I wouldn't hesitate to go back to either.

What can I say and where do I start?! We had a magical time staying in our Twin Yurts and felt truly relaxed by the end of our holiday. Michelle and Tila make wonderful hosts and made us feel so welcome. Their creativity and attention to detail is evident within every aspect of the Eco Retreat. Our little boy Reuben loved having his own little yurt and slept like a dream. Reuben enjoyed making new friend's on the trampoline, feeding the chickens, collecting eggs for breakfast and rides on Molly the resident donkey. Our top holiday tips: - Eat calamari at the local bar/restaurant on Arieta beach...it's out of this world! - Gorgeous white sandy beaches on the right just before you drive into the town of Orzola. Ideal paddling for toddlers. - Visit the stunning Famara beach...beautiful, wild and good surf I believe! - Our special beach...Papa Gayo. A gorgeous cove at the southern end of the island which has a lovely bar/restaurant on the clifftop with friendly staff. - Day out in the volcanic national park. We took Reuben on a camel ride up a volcano which he loved but his mummy hated! - Visit the caves (although possibly not with a screaming toddler as there's no easy way out!) - Charming little market in pretty Haria on Saturday mornings - Go to Manrique's home and see some of his impressive art work. - Take in the views at the Mirador del Rio - stunning with stylish bar. Have a mojito and enjoy the views! - Eat out in Arrieta at Ta Hoya for lovely local cuisine I could go on and on about how much we've enjoyed this holiday but part of our enjoyment was discovering the beauty of Lanzarote for ourselves! The Finca is an ideal family holiday and we will most definitely be returning at some point in the future.

We stayed in the twin yurt in January 2010, us sleeping in the big yurt and our son Marin (3yrs.) in the little yurt. He just loved to have his little own \"pirate house\" and had so much fun. As well he found a dear friend at our yurt neighbours and they were exploring the area together. Of course the chicken had to suffer a bit under the boys way of \"getting in touch\"with them. I\'ve been now to Lanzarote the 6th time and I just love the island. Michelle and Tila are doing a great job and I definitely do support their concept of offering accommodation that is so different to the tourist standards, often seen on the Canary Islands. I hope they will keep it small and private to preserve the charme it\'s got right now. No doubt, it\'s the perfect holiday for families with kids. We will come back for sure !

Just got back from a brilliant 10 day spell at the Finca. We all loved it! We stayed in the Twin Yurts for the first week, and then the last few days in the Eco Chico Yurt (thanks Michelle for being so flexible when our flights were cancelled!). We were on holiday with our two girls (3.5 and 2 yrs). They loved the freedom of the Finca, and totally fell in love with Molly (they haven't stopped talking about her since we got back). The location of the Finca is perfect to explore the island, the local beach is superb for kids and the beach bar does delicious (kiddy friendly) tapas and delicious Mojitos. The atmosphere is so chilled, and we were able to have a very relaxing holiday and fun filled break... What Michelle and Tila have achieved with the Finca is a triumph!

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
We found Lanzarote very interesting, particularly the volcanic areas and various Cesar Manrique projects and did considerably more sight-seeing than anticipated on what was essentially a beach holiday. The beaches were varied and lovely, the Canarian food sensational and the yurt accommodation was charming, comfortable and as sociable or private as guests preferred it to be. The boat trip to La Graciosa and catamaran trip to Punta Papagayo were
particularly enjoyable experiences.
2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
We pre-arranged car hire for four days of our fortnight and ended up extending that for a further week, as although Arrieta is in easy walking distance and has beach, supermarkets and restaurants, there was so much to do further afield. Car hire was extremely good value (as is everything in Lanzarote).
Other than that, just book your trip for as long as possible, safe in the knowledge that you can look forward to a brilliant holiday. The owners and staff couldn't have been more helpful which meant that we could relax from the moment we touched down to the moment we joined the queue for check in. (Thanks Michelle, Tila, Jill, Manuel and co. x)
3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, and minimized impacts on the environment?
Yes, Lanzarote Retreats use solar and wind power, rubbish is sorted for recycling and there are bikes available for guest's use. A number of local people are employed at the finca and the owners seem very supportive of other Lanzarote businesses.
4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
Excellent - very relaxing, but also educational. The holiday was perfect for our family with three children between 9 and 14 yrs, but seemed equally suitable for those traveling as couples, or with toddlers and babies. We have never previously repeated a holiday, but this is one destination that we will seriously consider going back to.

Sadly have just returned from a fabulous holiday at the Finca. Almost had to be dragged kicking and screaming from our lovely yurts!!! We have all had the most relaxing and fantastic holiday ever. The yurts were pure luxury and we have been completely converted to outside living with the fully equipped kitchen and bathroom!!!
The pool area and chill out space are just phenomonal. The kids have had a fabulous time with Molly and the chickens and the cats and the play area and the trampoline and the pool and the fab beach on the doorstep and.. and... and.....!!!!
The best bit however was the warmest of welcomes from Tila and the team. We were made to feel that nothing was too much trouble and they all go the extra mile to make your holiday special. Being met from the airport with a bottle of bubbly was the perfect start!! It is hard to describe what a lovely relaxed atmosphere exists at the finca - so please try it for yourselves - you will not regret it!!!

We had a really great twelve days in the Eco Twin Yurts and wished we were staying longer. It was the first holiday for a while where we turned up and felt like everything completely lived up to expectation (weather excepted...).
The Yurts were fantastic, really comfortable, just great. Everyone was really helpful and friendly, the communal bits work really well, chicken feeding and cat adopting went down well and the kids made friends which means relaxed parents. All in all a really successful holiday.
Special thanks to Tila and Sally for sorting Simon's birthday evening so wonderfully. Poppy and Jess are desperate to come back and see Monique and to have another speedboat ride!
I'm sure we'll be back.

The Finca was everything we had hoped for - and more! We arrived after a week at Casa Lila in Punta Mujeres, during which we had thoroughly explored this fascinating island. So, by the time we got to the Finca, we were ready to chill - and what a great place to do it! We swam, had a go at yoga, did bodyboarding and ate tapas down at the beach. But, we also just loved the Eco Twin Yurt - the perfect combination of luxury and fresh air, glamping at it's best! There was plenty of space for 2 adults and 2 teeneagers. Eating local Canarian fare al fresco was a real treat and we were usually joined at meals by at least one of the friendly Finca cats, which the girls loved.

We got back last week form our holiday in the Eco Twin Yurt. We really did have the best time. I have two boys aged 9 and 5 and so we have been on a number of family holidays and I can definitely say this was the best so far. Despite the fact the weather wasn't brilliant we still had a fabulous time, which to me proves what a great holiday it was-it wasn't all about the sunshine.
We loved staying in our yurts and it was great that the boys had their own yurt so my husband and I could have our own space. Our boys did a lot of bouncing on the trampoline and really enjoyed feeding the chickens and Mollie the donkey.
The communal paella was delicious and we enjoyed meeting other guests as well as Michelle, Tila and Barry the saxophonist.
We have been on other holidays staying in huge campsites with kids clubs etc. It was so wonderful to be somewhere that felt peaceful but there was still enough to keep the boys entertained. My boys agreed that it was their most favourite holiday so far and seeing all the volcanoes really spurred on their imaginations.
We would recommend Finca de Arrieta to all our friends with children; no matter what their ages. It is the first time we've found a holiday spot that we'd all like to return to again, and hopefully we'll be able to in the not too distant future.

Zal mijn baby fles warmer werken als ik het mee te nemen?
Ja, de eigenschappen hebben normale Spaanse elektrische stekkers. Als u vanuit het Verenigd Koninkrijk reist, heeft u alleen een adapter nodig.
Hoe wordt het water verwarmd?
Het water wordt verwarmd op zonne-energie en er is een gasboiler om een back-up voor minder zonnige dagen.
Tijdens een verblijf in een van deze eigenschappen, heb ik gebruik maken van een strijkijzer of haardroker?
We moedigen onze gasten aan om zich bewust te zijn van de elektrische die ze gebruiken, zodat deze items niet standaard worden geleverd.
Is er iets wat we moeten gaan zonder op onze eco vakantie?
Aangezien deze energiesystemen modern en up-to-date zijn, u elk elektrisch apparaat gebruiken, net zoals u zou doen van elektriciteit die door het Net wordt geleverd. Om energie te besparen, passen we onze eigenschappen niet met hoog energieverbruik, zoals vaatwasser, tv, elektrische waterkoker, elektrische boilers, hoge wattlampen, strijkijzers etc.
Wat gebeurt er als er geen zon of wind is?
De energie uit de zonnepanelen en windturbines wordt opgeslagen in een set batterijen, deze batterijen houden een reserve van energie. Als deze batterijen bijna leeg zijn, laadt de generator de batterijen snel op. De voeding wordt niet onderbroken, zodat het pand nooit zonder elektriciteit is.
Hoe laat is het in- en uitchecken?
U vanaf 16.00 uur bij uw vakantiehuis aankomen en uw uitchecken op vertrekdag is om 10.00 uur
Ik kom te laat zal er ergens zijn om basisvoorzieningen / voedsel te kopen?
Ja, u gebruik maken van de eerlijkheid winkel of waarom niet om een maaltijd te wachten op uw aankomst.
Komen er nog meer kinderen op het terrein?
Ja, er zullen andere gasten verblijven met kinderen. Als het in schoolvakanties dan is het een volledige leeftijdsgroep, in term data is niet meer zuigelingen en peuters.
Is er een receptie? Zijn er personeel ter plaatse?
We hebben een bemand kantoor in Finca De Arrieta geopend van maandag tot en met vrijdag van 9.00 tot 15.00 uur en zaterdag/zondag van 9.00 tot 13.00 uur. We hebben ook full-time onderhoudspersoneel beschikbaar indien nodig.
Wat is in- en uitchecktijd? Is er ergens om mijn bagage achter te laten?
Inchecktijd is 16.00 uur en uitchecken tijd is 10.00 uur. Wij kunnen bagage voor u opslaan bij Finca De Arrieta.
Waar is de dichtstbijzijnde supermarkt/restaurants? Zijn ze op loopafstand?
Het dichtstbijzijnde restaurant is Casa de La Playa, gelegen aan het strand dus een 300mt lopen. ( Neem een fakkel mee als wandelen als er geen straatverlichting is) De dichtstbijzijnde supermarkt en andere restaurants zijn in het dorp Arrieta ongeveer 1 km lopen.
Is er een wasmachine of magnetron?
Wij bieden een wasservice, gelegen naast de eerlijkheidswinkel. Magnetrons zijn gratis beschikbaar op aanvraag als echt nodig als ze een energieafvoer zijn!
Zijn de yurts koud in de wintermaanden?
De yurts zijn knus en ontwerp vrij blijven ze een constante temperatuur dus zijn niet koud, bieden wij dekens in het geval deze nodig zijn in aanvulling op dekbedden.

Waar u het beste verblijven als u alleen met kinderen reist?
Finca De Arrieta is een perfecte locatie voor individuele ouders, de eco kindvriendelijke retraite bestaat uit een gemeenschap van 15 verschillende vakantieaccommodaties. De gemeenschappelijke ruimtes en chill out lounge bieden een prachtige plek voor de kinderen om te spelen, evenals een plek voor de ouders om te genieten van een volwassen gesprek.
Wat is Glamping?
Glamping is een prachtig vakantiepakket dat glamour en kamperen combineert, het staat ook bekend als luxe camping en chique camping. Costa Teguise biedt de beste windsurfomstandigheden, zie onze twee villa’s Beach House en Ocean View Penthouse die dicht bij het strand en windsurfcentra liggen. Wanneer is de beste tijd van het jaar voor surfen?
Surfen is goed in Lanzarote het hele jaar door. Het staat bekend als het Hawaï van Europa vanwege de geweldige omstandigheden. De grootste golven voor gevorderde surfers zijn van oktober tot februari. Zie deze LINK voor meer surf info.

Er is gemiddeld 14 dagen regen per jaar.
Wat is er te doen voor kinderen in Finca De Arrieta?
Eieren verzamelen voor ontbijt en kippen voeren, spelen in het park, springen op de gezonken trampoline, zwemmen, spelen met speelgoed uit de speelgoeddoos, een boek uit de bibliotheek kiezen om te lezen, meedoen met de yogales, nieuwe vakantievrienden ontmoeten!

Nee, er zijn geen tv’s in Finca De Arrieta, we moedigen gezinnen aan om samen van quality time te genieten.

Waarom is Finca De Arrieta Eco?
Finca de Arrieta is volledig “off grid” en maakt zijn eigen elektrisch door zonnepanelen en windmolens. Het heeft ook een aantal zonneboilers, gebruikt zijn eigen “goed” water, en hergebruikt grijs water op zijn tuinen. De vloot van hoffelijkheden auto’s zijn allemaal hybride en tuinen zijn gevuld met inheemse planten.
Mag ik trouwen op Lanzarote?
