Dit schilderachtige vissershuisje aan zee, gelegen in het authentieke vissersdorpje Arrieta, in de gemeente Haria, is een perfecte locatie om te ontspannen en te genieten van het langzame tempo van dit charmante traditionele vissersdorpje.
Dit huisje zou één van de eerste huizen in Arrieta zijn, het heeft een balkon in Canarische stijl en heeft een vissersthema dat past bij de omgeving (het is zelfs voorzien van hengels voor gasten die van een visplekje houden!).
Omdat dit vakantiehuis een belangrijk onderdeel is van de geschiedenis van Arrieta, heeft Lanzarote Retreats liefdevol originele details gerestaureerd en bewaard, zoals de traditionele Canarische binnenplaats in Lanzarote-stijl. Het ligt naast de scheepshelling waar de lokale vissers nog steeds hun kleine, kleurrijke, met hout beschilderde vissersboten te water laten. Grenzend aan het huisje kunt u aan de kust zitten en genieten van lokaal gevangen vis, of een selectie tapas uit een fantastisch restaurant aan zee. Er zijn een verscheidenheid aan restaurants aan zee / aan het strand, allemaal op loopafstand van het huisje, samen met een goed gevulde supermarkt en een paar kleine lokale winkels.
De gezellige woonkamer op de begane grond, met een panoramisch uitzicht op zee, heeft een tweepersoonsslaapbank, MP3-dockingstation, selectie van boeken en gratis WIFI. De ingerichte keuken is volledig uitgerust met een koel-vriescombinatie, gasoven, kookplaat en broodrooster, evenals een op maat gemaakte eettafel en stoelen.
Buiten is de ruime privé binnenplaats ideaal om te koken op de barbecue en buiten te dineren onder de sterrenhemel. Ook is er hier een buitendouche die ideaal is om u af te spoelen als u terugkomt van een duik in het kristalheldere water aan het strand of de haven, die beide direct bij het huisje liggen. Ook leidend vanaf de binnenplaats is de handige aparte W.C. Vanaf hier leidt de binnenplaats naar een externe houten trap naar de master suite op de eerste verdieping. Luxueus, open en met een spectaculair uitzicht op zee, deze lichte en luchtige kamer heeft een comfortabel kingsize bed, een verzonken houten bad, een eenpersoonsslaapbank en een eigen toilet.
De eco-referenties van dit huisje geven je de kans “Off Grid”te leven. Er zijn tien zonnepanelen die het fantastische weer op Lanzarote optimaal benutten, de energie opslaan en alle elektriciteit voor de woning leveren. Arrieta’s Eco Fisherman’s Cottage is het perfecte voorbeeld van hoe eenvoudig, stijlvol en duurzaam vakanties moeten zijn.
Vanwege de schilderachtige rustieke sfeer en de uitstekende locatie is deze accommodatie ideaal voor koppels die op zoek zijn naar een romantische vakantie of huwelijksreis aan de kust. Gezinnen kunnen hier ook op vakantie, een vouwbed of reisbedje kan worden toegevoegd als u extra bedden nodig hebt. Gasten van het huisje zijn altijd welkom om naar het ecodorp Finca De Arrieta te komen om gebruik te maken van de gratis faciliteiten daar, zoals de zwembaden, het speelpark enz. Het is slechts 15 minuten lopen langs de kust of een paar minuten met de auto.
Omdat dit een “Eco” accommodatie met een hoog energieverbruik is, zoals magnetron, strijkijzer, kan een haardroger niet worden gebruikt in dit huisje. Het huisje heeft normale stopcontacten, dus het opladen van telefoons, laptops enz. is prima. Vraag het gerust als u hier nog meer vragen over hebt.

Het dorp Arrieta heeft 400 inwoners en ligt in de noordelijke gemeente Haria, het meest traditionele gebied van Lanzarote en is ideaal voor de meer onafhankelijke reiziger. Dit noordelijke deel van Lanzarote biedt geen speciaal gebouwde resorts zoals Costa Teguise, Puerto Del Carmen of Playa Blanca. Arrieta is een klein traditioneel Canarische vissersdorp dat heeft geleerd zich aan te passen aan de eisen van een aantal low-key toerisme. Authentic place with all the amenities needed for Your stay on Lanzarote. Lovely cottage with a spectacular view on the ocean. Me and my fiancé spent some awesome two weeks here. Used it as base for exploring the island from, perfectly situated for this. You will fall in love with Arrieta while listening to the sound of the waves. We also went for the wine tasting tour they offer, which was great. Loved it! Thank You for this awesome place. We had a wonderful holiday in Arrieta. We will be back, probably next year. You are collected from the airport so no wait, no bus and no hassle. The location of the cottage on the sea front is unbeatable. A beautiful stunning location. Nearby shops and restaurants with great dinning. Comfortable cottage with all you need for a great holiday. Defiantly would recommend and will be visiting again soon.

Lovely cottage close to the sea, lots of good eateries nearby and easy walks up and down the coast. The cottage is well equipped - relaxing bath with view of the sea and outdoor shower with view of the sky or stars! Lovely bed linen on huge bed and great BBQ in private terrace. Nice to have no telly for a change, no wifi but wifi in the bakers just opposite. Many thanks to Joshua for his lifts from and to the airport - he made it relaxing by being so punctual and a very careful, considerate driver. We will be back as soon as we can :) many thanks again!

Just spent a week in Arrieta at the Fisherman's Cottage, stunning. The first time I've been there and the second for my wife. It's right in the hub of village life with a cafe 3m away. Very lively restaurant at night. Forget staying here if you want a package type break. You need some Spanish, you need to like mixing with locals and other Spanish speaking tourists. You need to like fish for dinner and swimming in the harbour. The photos don't do it justice, it's great.

We stayed in the fisherman's cottage for a week in March. The cottage is situated in the centre of Arrieta village and is therefore separate from the Finca complex, however as a young couple without children we preferred this. The village is small but has a supermarket, cafe and a number of restaurants, all within walking distance of the cottage. The cottage itself is rustic and fairly basic but had everything we needed - small kitchen, lounge area, bedroom and bath/toilet. There was also an outside sitting area and BBQ. It had character and was situated right on the seafront. Whilst in some respects this was lovely, as we had a great view and the sound of the sea right outside, it could also be quite noisy at night, especially if it was windy as it was during our stay! I was woken up quite a few times in the night by the sea crashing against the harbour wall! There are of course worse things to be woken up by, and it didn't bother me too much since we were on holiday, but if you are a light sleeper or prefer silence at night you might want to bear this in mind! Also, whilst the cottage has a shower, this is situated outside - I am sure this would be wonderful in the height of summer but it was a little chilly standing in an outside shower in March when the wind was blowing! But I guess it adds to the character of the cottage. (There is an inside bath you can use instead if you don't fancy the outside shower). Although the cottage is separate from the main complex, you can visit and use their facilities whenever you wish, although we actually only visited once to collect some eggs from the lovely chickens in their "Cluckingham Palace" coop and to say hello to the donkeys. Overall we had a wonderful week in Lanzarote and the cottage was a great base from which to explore. We were pleasantly surprised by how much there was to see and do. We hired a car and drove all over the island - it's easy to get around as the roads are fairly quiet and easy to navigate and it only takes just over an hour to get from one end of the island to the other. Some highlights were Jameos del Agua, Jardin de Cactus, a volcano walking tour with Blackstone Treks & Tours and scuba diving/lazing on the beaches in Playa Blanca.

Fisherman's Cottage at New Year. An absolutely lovely, if simple, little house right by the sea. Lying in bed at night (or ocaasionaly by day)listening to the waves was fantastic as was sitting on the sea wall in the sun drinking our morning coffee. Arietta is a very nice place to stay, although it goes to bed incredibly early for Spain! It reputedly has the best fish restaraunts on the island and we saw no reason to argue - excellent value too. We were generally surpised at how atractive, interesting and in many parts unspoiled Lanzarote is. Michelle and Tila great hosts and the evening out with everyone from the Finca and our day's windsurfng were great fun. As was New Year's eve in the village square in Teguise. An excellent holiday. We stayed at the fishermans cottage between 10-17 January.Great to leave freezing cold weather in UK behind for a week.The cottage is lovely its quirkiness being its charm.Having a shower outside every morning was a great start to the day. Arrieta is a nice quiet place to stay great beach and places to eat. It was good to have the Finca close by for fresh eggs and any help needed. Lanzarote is a fantastic island to explore and easy to drive around we particulary loved our time over on La Graciosa.Michelle and Tila have done a brilliant job in offering the chance to enjoy the real Lanzarote

"This is our second time staying with Lanzerotte Retreats and without doubt its the mixture of style, luxury, green living and warm welcome from Michelle, Tila, the kids and the donkey who all make you feel like one of the family. We had the best of both worlds splitting our 14 night break in April between the Eco Chiquitita Yurts followed by Fishermans Cottage. It really was a great combination for my husband and I. Marc likes to hop on a wave and check out the surf and I like hopping onto one of the bikes and pottering around the beaches and little shops. The free fresh eggs from the on-site chickens is the perfect way to start the day and a massage at sunset from the lovely Joy is a must. Michelle can organise for her to come to you. My Husband and I are lucky enough to live in the South of Lanzarote and fancied a few days away 'Up North' we had seen Fishermans Cottage in Arrieta and after looking it up on the Website - were definitely intrigued!!
We had a great day in La Graciosa and loved the Powerboat - Tila and Jill had a good time too (can sunbathing really be called work!!)... they gave lots of info and recommended Restaurants in Arrieta but as the Cottage was so lovely we got as far as the local Supermarket for Wine and treats and never made a Restaurant!! although the small bar to the left of the Cottage makes great Columbian Arrepas and the main beach Bar brilliant Tapas - really enjoyed it - Thanks

We have been visiting Lanzarote for 30 years and were delighted to be able to stay at the Fisherman's Cottage in Arietta - a little village we had been vistiting for years but just for lunch or for a coffee before driving up to Orzola. We love Lanzarote and consider it our "spiritual home" - it is also so beautiful. The cottage was charming and quirky and we loved showering under the sky each day and making a dash down the outside stairs in our pj's before anyone over the road spotted us!
Tila and Michelle have done a marvellous job renovating the house and it is truly authentic old Lanzarote.

We stayed at the Fisherman's cottage in May 2011. The cottage was beautifully appointed and equipped, right down to a fishing rod for catching supper (we didn't). Our daughter loved the surfing lessons, the ride in the powerboat to La Graciosa, and the beaches!

The Fisherman's Cottage lived up to all our expectations and was a great place to come 'home' to for 8 days after our daily travels around Cesar Manrique's island either on foot or by bus. So conveniently and idyllically located at the water's edge, being lulled to sleep at night by the lapping waves after a day out in the fresh air. Being away from U.K. during the dark days of January and transported to Arrieta was a dream. We cooked 'at home' every evening so that we could enjoy to the full our comfortable surroundings.

The locals are really friendly with the coffee shop across the road having WiFi although it was slightly bizarre waving to them as I scurried down the stairs in my towel to use the outside shower every morning! Waar u het beste verblijven als u alleen met kinderen reist?
Finca De Arrieta is een perfecte locatie voor individuele ouders, de eco kindvriendelijke retraite bestaat uit een gemeenschap van 15 verschillende vakantieaccommodaties. De gemeenschappelijke ruimtes en chill out lounge bieden een prachtige plek voor de kinderen om te spelen, evenals een plek voor de ouders om te genieten van een volwassen gesprek.

Jumper/Fleece – een jumper voor ‘s avonds als Lanzarote biedt heerlijk buiten wonen en het kan koeler buiten ‘s nachts.
Licht waterdichte jas – incase het douches (die niet erg vaak, maar kan je vangen)
Wetsuits – als u van plan bent om in het water!

Ik wil windsurfen, waar moet ik verblijven en welke tijd van het jaar is het beste?
Costa Teguise biedt de beste windsurfomstandigheden, zie onze twee villa’s Beach House en Ocean View Penthouse die dicht bij het strand en windsurfcentra liggen. Er is wind het hele jaar door, maar de meest consistente is wanneer Lanzarote heeft Passaatwinden van mei tot september. Zie deze link voor informatie over Windsurfen.
Wanneer is de beste tijd van het jaar voor surfen?
Surfen is goed in Lanzarote het hele jaar door. Het staat bekend als het Hawaï van Europa vanwege de geweldige omstandigheden. De grootste golven voor gevorderde surfers zijn van oktober tot februari. Zie deze LINK voor meer surf info.

Er is gemiddeld 14 dagen regen per jaar.
Mag ik trouwen op Lanzarote?

Kan ik mijn hond/kat meenemen?
Sorry nee, onze accommodaties zijn niet geschikt voor gasten om hun huisdieren mee te nemen.
Op welke luchthaven moet ik aankomen?
Arrecife (luchthavencode ACE) is de enige luchthaven op het eiland Lanzarote.
Wat is de beste tijd van het jaar om Lanzarote te bezoeken?
Lanzarote is het hele jaar geopend, het heeft een constante matige temperatuur dus is heerlijk om elk moment van het jaar te bezoeken. Het warmste maanden zijn juli/augustus, waar de passaatwinden een welkome verkoelende bries bieden.
Restaurants en winkels, sluiten ze in de winter?
Nee, alle restaurants en winkels verhandelen 52 weken per jaar. Het is het hele jaar door vakantieseizoen in Lanzarote!
Mijn accommodatie komt niet met een auto, waar kan ik er een huren?
Wij raden Plus Car, ze zijn een lokale Lanzarote bedrijf en hebben uitstekende auto’s, ze voegen niet op eventuele verborgen kosten en ze ook voldoen aan u op de luchthaven bespaart u een tijdige wachttijd-in-lijn bij uw aankomst op de luchthaven.
Hoe is het weer?
Het weer in Lanzarote is het hele jaar door goed vanwege de nabijheid van de evenaar. Zie onze weerpagina voor meer informatie.
Is het zwembad verwarmd?
De meeste van onze zwembaden worden verwarmd door zonne-energie of elektriciteit, kijk voor meer informatie op het tabblad met villa’s voor volledige details.
Zijn er muggen?
Lanzarote heeft een aantal muggen, maar vanwege het eiland droog, niet te veel! Om te voorkomen dat ze komen in uw vakantiehuis houden deuren en ramen gesloten van zonsondergang.
Hoe betaal ik voor mijn vakantie?
U betaalt een 30% borg gevolgd door de 70% saldo dat verschuldigd is een maand voor aankomst. U betalen met creditcard / bankpas of bankoverschrijving.
