“Se dovessimo descrivere una vacanza nella nostra Eco Yurt Suite, di sicuro sceglieremmo la parola ‘Glamping’: dimenticati delle borracce e pensa invece a sorseggiare deliziosi cocktail nel tuo giardino, lascia perdere le torce elettriche e goditi l’atmosfera intima che le luci soft della tenda sono in grado di creare. L’Eco Yurt Suite è una vera e propria oasi del relax, al contrario dei normali sacchi a pelo!”
La nostra suite di yurta di lusso di 53m2 – una delle più grandi yurte di Finca De Arrieta – è rifinita secondo uno standard molto elevato da un interior designer locale e, con il suo giardino e terrazza recintato, offre una superba sistemazione sostenibile per una famiglia o per una coppia che preferisce molto spazio privato.
All’interno di questa autentica yurta mongola (che misura 8 m di diametro) troverai un ambiente intimo e accogliente, caratterizzato da pavimenti in simil-legno e alcuni mobili realizzati in un antico legno mongolo appositamente selezionati – tra cui il letto super king-size. Ci sono anche due letti singoli, un letto z aggiuntivo e culle da viaggio che possono essere aggiunte in questa yurta di grandi dimensioni. Il pavimento piastrellato e il tradizionale doppio rivestimento in pelle regolano il ricambio dell’aria in maniera naturale, in modo da garantire una temperatura ambiente costante. Un lucernario centrale consente la ventilazione e romantiche stelle, wifi veloce gratuito incluso.
Si tratta di un ambiente privato e tranquillo, perfetto per godersi una splendida in famiglia. La sua terrazza e giardino su due livelli di 325 mq è murato e recintato, con un sacco di spazio di gioco sicuro, e dispone di un divano letto ombreggiato e amaca (i genitori di bambini piccoli dovrebbero essere consapevoli che ci sono gradini tra le due terrazze). L’ampio bagno trasuda indulgenza, con vasca in legno, cabina doccia, WC e pavimento in marmo e lavandino. C’è una cucina esterna coperta, con un bar per la colazione con so granito, che è completamente attrezzato per il self-catering. C’è anche un’ulteriore terrazza coperta arredata con mobili in teak per sei persone, ideale per cenare all’aperto – magari sotto le stelle. Poco più in là c’è anche una piccola area ghiaiosa piena di piante esotiche, e nelle vicinanze troverai un barbecue e sedie a sdraio per rilassarsi.
La posizione elevata della suite yurta significa che la sua area esterna privata – completa di lettini – ha una vista favolosa su tutto l’eco-villaggio fino al mare e sul villaggio di pescatori locale di Arrieta. Il villaggio di Arrieta è costituito da 400 abitanti ed è situato nel comune di Haria, la zona più tradizionale di Lanzarote - l'ideale per i viaggiatori più indipendenti. L'area settentrionale di Lanzarote non è costellata di grandi resort turistici come quelli di Costa Teguise, Puerto Del Carmen o Playa Blanca. Arrieta è un piccolo villaggio di pescatori che hanno imparato ad adattarsi per soddisfare le esigenze di un turismo a basso impatto. Tra le altre cose, il villaggio offre diversi ristoranti di pesce fronte mare, un'ottima pizzeria take away e un supermercato. Come altri villaggi del Nord di Lanzarote, Arrieta è il posto ideale per allontanarsi dal caos dei bar e delle discoteche al neon tipiche delle località più turistiche di Lanzarote. Arrieta è uno dei villaggi di pescatori più belli e autentici che ancora oggi esistono a Lanzarote. È ancora incontaminato, oltre che dotato di un fascino rustico per via delle case storiche e dei vicoli costieri che lo caratterizzano. Arrieta vanta una bellissima spiaggia di finissima sabbia dorata chiamata "Playa de La Garita", lunga ben 810 m. We have just returned from a fantastic week at Lanzarote Retreats. Our children loved feeding the animals, playing in the park and splashing around in the pool! My wife and I enjoyed walking to the nearby beach, eating fresh seafood and having a relaxing massage. I’m sure we will be returning soon!

We stayed in the Eco Yurt Suite, the yurt was huge, and the outside areas were very spacious. It was all lovely and clean when we arrived, but it did get dusty inside and out very quickly, you can pay extra for a clean, but I do think that if you are there for a week or more a mid-week clean should be included. We had some issues with hot water, but all the staff were very helpful in resolving this. The airport transfers and courtesy car were excellent, within an hour of landing at the airport we were settled in and ready to start our holiday! It is in a great location with plenty of local attractions only a short drive away and a beach, supermarket and restaurants within easy walking distance. Despite the weather being a bit unpredictable we had a great week and would definitely return on a future holiday to Lanzarote!”

We've never stayed in a yurt before and we have 2 year old twins . As we entered the Yurt we were amazed how spacious it was there was 2 single beds for the twins and a king size double bed for us. Our Yurt had luxury furnishing and you could open the fabric slightly at the top for a clear view for star gazing which was amazing. Outside in our grounds we had a modern kitchen and a walk in shower room and bathroom . We fully enjoyed staying in what felt like being very natural and close to nature. Our Twins loved the playground the eco farm and the swimming pools . It was a fantastic experience for them and us and we will be back again.

We have just returned from a week staying at in the Eco Yurt Suite & we are already planning when we can next return. The whole holiday was just so easy, relaxing & we all felt like we had had a holiday. From being picked up at the airport, the use of a car with car seats already installed & breakfast delivered and waiting in our fridge on our first morning. And the whole holiday continued like this :-) We all enjoyed the trampoline, play ground, animals, pool, sleeping in a yurt & visiting the island of Lanzarote. With a car & the roads being so easy we managed to cover most of the island. Visiting the volcano site, vineyards & beaches. We are looking forward to returning soon.

Very little to add to my other reviews as the experience once again was fantastic, of course! This time we stayed at the yurt suite which was very nice and I would stay in here again, I particularly liked being close to the play park so my 6 year old could play over there and I could see her and the great view from the dining terrace which is the nicest on site I would say. If road noise is an issue, and I don't find any of the yurts very noisy from the road it has to be said, but this one was the quietest of the yurts we've stayed in. My other reviews give greater detail of what to expect but suppose this is just to say standards are still very high and another great holiday was had by all. I don't need to say I'll be back do I?

It gives me great pleasure to write an entry in the Lanzarote Retreats guest book. We booked a badly needed winter break with relatively short notice. I had challenged my partner Emma to find something unusual and luxurious; Boy did she ever come up trumps! I have honestly never stayed anywhere so well provided for on a self catering basis. We stayed in the yurt suite with our 6 month old baby Huw. On arrival at the airport, we were able to find the site with no difficulty, and were met by a beaming Tilla who led us up to our accommodation. He gave a very welcoming and informative first talk. We were amazed by just how well we were catered for with a young baby in tow. In fact, we could well have traveled much lighter than we did, because of all the excellent toys and equipment provided. We had only really been expecting a travel cot. There was enough supplies to keep us going until morning, and a couple of lovely surprises that we truly had not been expecting. The Yurt suite is a self contained space enjoying fabulous views of the mountains and the sea. Sunrise and sunset are really something to savor, framed by palm trees and the excellently designed outdoor spaces, which make staying in the suite so much more than a back to basics eco retreat. As the site is largely self sufficient energy and water-wise, you are able to understand what a lower impact lifestyle could be like,without feeling that you'd short changed yourself in the holiday department. We chose to largely do our own thing in the time we had, but every recommendation from Tilla and Michelle has been carefully considered to add to the experience of your stay. My recommendation is take their advice, these are people who know and love the island, and really want you to get the most out of your stay. They managed to always keep us feeling welcomed, but never intruded upon, and could not have been more helpful when a work related issue raised its head. I heartily recommend having an evening out with them. They are great fun to chat to and genuinely lovely people, who are exactly right to be running this kind of venture. This has been one of our very best holiday experiences, which we hope to repeat in the not too distant future.

We had one of the best holidays ever on Lanzarote! The Eco Retreat was perfect for our family of 4 (with kids ages 6 and 3) - mellow enough to give us the rest we wanted and stimulating for the kids with the trampoline, chickens, bunnies and my namesake Donkey Mollie. Our MUST DOs: Take a day trip to La Graciosa Jameos del Agua See the volcanoes at Timanfaya National Park Enjoy a variety of beaches (no two alike it seems) Explore Teguise Get to know Tila, Michelle and the great staff We stayed in the Yurt Suite which was plenty big for our family and then we transferred to the Penthouse in Costa Teguise for a change of scenery. Both suited us fine and we had ample room. We loved the Finca the best and would definitely go back (go solar!) to stay again. Thanks to all at Lanzarote Retreats for an unforgettable holiday.

A brilliant holiday. We stayed in the Yurt Suite which was super luxurious - loads of space, gorgeous furnishings, fluffy towels, fully kitted out kitchen and brilliant bath. Our 18 month old loved it. She spent all day running round the yurt, playing with the piles of toys available, feeding the chickens, snoozing on the day bed. Lanzarote itself was a pleasant surprise - lots to see, food was great and really easy to pop out for trips in the morning and still have whole afternoon to relax at beach or pool. Also, the babysitting was easy to set up so had some great nights out too. Thanks Michelle and Tila!

To prospective guests- believe all you read in the guest book. This is a really fantastic destination for singles, couples and families with children of all ages. The Finca accommodations are private but close enough to go in a group / 2 families together. All you need is readily available; there is no hardship such as hot water running out. The yurts are indeed luxurious- our's had beautiful chinese style furniture.
We worried about being a bit hot at night but managed fine despite 30C days and 22C nights- you can take the cap off the yurt roof and lift the side walls to allow breeze through.
I recommend a car as the island is easy to get a grip of in 1-2 weeks and not to see the Manrique sites and Timanfaya would be a tragedy. We loved Orzola, La Famera, La Graciosa. The 'resorts' were not our scene...
Don't hesitate, just book!

We had a fabulous time. First time abroad with our 18 month son. We are used to back packing, couldn't face a package holiday, so the Eco Yurt was a good compromise! Everything we needed was there, even down to plastic cutlery and toys with batteries included! Yurt was luxurious, had a bath looking out to the stars. Nightly routine of feeding Molly and saying night night to chickens was loved by Oscar. Loads to do around island (car really is useful).

The perfect place to go for complete relaxation...friendly, comfortable, gorgeous location, 2 pretty little villages by the sea nearby, only food shops, tavernas and some good restaurants, fab fish and seafood, beautiful sea. If you want the 'simple' but comfortable life without mass tourism and shopping malls, this is it.
The views of the mountains and the sea is fantastic from this yurt. Also may I point out the big, very comfortable beds.
This is a place for not just families with small children, we as a late middle age couple had the perfect chilled week. It was just what we had hoped for.

we had a great time with our 10 month old twins in the eco yurt suite. we were provided with everything we could ask for for them, baby bath, crockery, travel cots, blankets, toys. great! the yurt was lovely and clean, so much space and luxury.
the bottle on fizz on transfer was a great touch. sally and pippa were very friendly and informed. the place was so quiet despite being booked up.
local village was lovely - no english people in sight - it felt like we really were abroad without the tacky tourists.
the views were lovely, close by to lots of things to see by a short car ride.
great time all round.

We found the Eco Yury Suite to be a marvellous place to stay, as was the Finca in general, and we are keen to return soon and to recommend it to our friends. We had a wonderful holiday in the Yurt Suite in March. Our children (aged 4 and 1) loved sleeping in the yurt, and made lots of new friends in the swimming pool and around the trampoline. The yurt was beautiful, and the location is great for exploring the island - there are lots of great places to take small children within easy driving distance. We hope to come back one day!

The Eco Farmhouse is in a unique position at the Lanzarote Retreats finca. Originally the family home of the Braddock family, who runs the finca with such generosity of spirit that everyone ends up feeling part of their family anyway, this sensitively and scrumptiously restored stone farmhouse has been built with love and care. A huge living area, with four poster bed, to die for furnishings, a covered terrace, day beds, space, space and more space, the master bedroom opens out into the finca's communal pool area, and the front door leads out into its own private pool space. So you can join the party or have your own. It is all just too cool for words, and with a vast chill out zone by the private pool, with daybeds, a shower and barbeque, we wished we had brought some mates to share it with. This is heaven for families with teenagers, who can chill in piece in their zone, while the grown ups hit the honesty bar in the communal zone, take a yoga class, play table tennis or chat with new pals at the other pool. The use of the Prius is inspired, and we loved exploring the island, with all the best tips for getting off the beaten track from Tila and Michelle. But coming back to the house at the end of the day always did feel just like coming home. No coincidence then, that since our return to London, we have felt nothing but homesick.

We had the best holiday ever at the Finca from start to finish! My husband our 15 yr old daughter & 9 yr old son spent 16 fantastic nights in the luxury Yurt suite! Everything was so nice from atmosphere @ the Finca to the lovely villages & beaches in the area! Staff were so helpful & pleasant anytime you met them and nothing seemed to be a problem! Emma @ 15 was so happy & relaxed & enjoyed every moment of her holiday! We cannot wait to return to the Yurt Royale next year & experience the little piece of heaven that you guys have created in Arrieta ! Keep it up 1 and all you certainly have gained huge fans here!
