« La Farmhouse nous est très chère, ainsi qu’à nos 4 enfants, car elle a été notre maison familiale pendant de nombreuses années. Nous l’avons rénovée avec amour, une pièce recyclée à la fois, elle représente certains de nos plus beaux souvenirs. »
L’Eco-Luxury Farmhouse est le plus grand bâtiment à rénover à l’Eco-Village de Finca De Arrieta.
Nous avons utilisé autant de matériaux locaux que possible pour restaurer ce bâtiment – ce qui comprend l’utilisation des murs de pierre d’origine. La maison de ferme a une sensation légère et aérée à l’intérieur. Il y a aussi une belle vue sur la plage d’Arrieta. Rénovée à un niveau très élevé, il y a 3 chambres – 2 chambres avec lits doubles et 1 chambre avec un lit simple, pour accueillir 6 personnes (avec des enfants possibles). On peut également installer un lit d’appoint / un lit parapluie.
Dans la spacieuse maison de ferme, qui a un espace intérieur de 250m2, il y a une cuisine ouverte équipée, avec des surfaces de travail en granit. Le grand îlot central dans la cuisine est un espace de travail idéal, qui offre une belle vue sur les jardins bien entretenus. La cuisine dispose d’un grand four / grill, 5 plaques de cuisson, un réfrigérateur / congélateur, un grille-pain et beaucoup d’espace de rangement. Cela le rend idéal pour l’auto-restauration. On peut dîner et se divertir dans le confort.
La porte d’entrée mène directement au grand salon, qui dispose d’un plancher de bois franc à deux niveaux et d’un lit de jour pour une relaxation totale. Le couloir mène à la chambre d’ami, qui a une lucarne, lits jumeaux et une armoire.
En continuant à travers la ferme, vous entrez dans la cuisine et descendez dans la salle à manger, ici la table en bois sur mesure offre des sièges pour 6 personnes. Il y a aussi des portes doubles antiques qui mènent à la suite de la chambre principale, qui a une vue fantastique sur la montagne. Cette chambre dispose de meubles anciens tels que le super king-size 4 affiche lit double, armoires intégrées et une salle de bains privative avec une douche sans rendez-vous, doubles éviers et toilettes séparé.
La troisième chambre dispose d’un sol en marbre, d’un super lit double à baldaquin de taille 4 et d’une vue sur les jardins. Il y a aussi une salle de bain près du salon, qui a une douche à l’italienne, une baignoire, un lavabo double et W.C.
À l’extérieur, la ferme située dans des jardins matures offre une grande terrasse couverte de style ranch avec une salle à manger au sol en marbre pour 8 personnes.
Le jardin avant la maison, mène à une piscine privée, où il y a un coin repas (une hutte en bambou) avec une vue sur la mer et la montagne. La piscine privée dispose d’un espace chill-out couvert, comprenant un lit double jour et des canapés avec une barrière de sécurité amovible pour les enfants.
Il y a aussi une autre salle de douche privée avec un WC. La piscine dispose d’une terrasse privée, avec chaises longues, un barbecue et une vue sur la mer. La clôture de la piscine est une chaîne ouverte, comme pour toute eau, les enfants doivent être surveillés à tout moment.
Le WiFi rapide gratuit est disponible et l’éco-village familial Finca de Arrieta se trouve à seulement 300 mètres de la plage et des restaurants.

Arrieta
Le village d’Arrieta compte 400 habitants qui est situé dans la municipalité du nord, qui s'appelle Haría; la zone la plus traditionnelle de Lanzarote; c'est idéale pour les voyageurs plus indépendants. Cette partie nord de Lanzarote n’offre pas de stations balnéaires, comme celles de Costa Teguise, Puerto Del Carmen ou Playa Blanca. Arrieta est un petit village de pêcheurs canarien traditionnel qui a appris à s’adapter pour répondre aux exigences d’un tourisme discret. Entre autres choses, le village offre de merveilleux restaurants en bord de mer avec du poisson frais et des fruits de mer, une très bonne pizzeria avec un service à emporter et un supermarché. Comme d'autres villages du nord, Arrieta est paisible, tranquille et idéal si vous cherchez à vous éloigner des bars à néon et des boîtes de nuit que l'on trouve dans les stations touristiques de Lanzarote. Arrieta est l’un des plus beaux et authentiques villages de pêcheurs qui existe encore à Lanzarote aujourd´hui. Il reste intact et il tient un charme rustique avec ses maisons historiques et ses ruelles en bord de mer. Arrieta possède une superbe plage appelée "Playa de La Garita", de sable fin et doré, qui est 810m de long. Cette plage dispose d’un restaurant et d’un bar de plage ainsi que de WC/douches, d'un parking et d’un parc de jeux. La mer reste généralement calme tout au long de l’année. Cette plage est idéale pour s'initier au surf, au body board, aux bains de soleil, à la natation, à jouer dans les vague, à la fabrication de châteaux de sable, à voir le lever du soleil, à pêcher et aux repas au bar ou au restaurant enface de la plage.Gallery

We were a large group with 7 adults and 1 toddler, and found there was something for everyone. (We rented 2 properties). The farmhouse had everything you could wish for, and the toddler loved the private pool, the playground and the animals. The rest of us enjoyed the exercise classes in the mornings. The honesty shop was very useful, and well stocked. The village was only a short walk from a beach and there were many restaurants nearby. Highly recommended, especially for families.

I've just returned from a week at the Finca de Arrieta with my family and cannot recommend it enough.
We stayed in the Farmhouse - which was just wonderful. Absolutely huge: three bedrooms (two with king-size beds and one twin room) and one of the kings was en-suite, lovely spacious living areas - separate lounge, dining and kitchen. And then a massive outside area - a dining area immediately outside the front then the private pool area which has a covered outside living room and a Balinese style seating hut. It's all wonderfully furnished and so comfortable.
Huge thanks and recognition must go to Karen, Renata and all the staff at Lanzarote Retreats. For their help before we booked and numerous pre-arrival questions (the live chat service is excellent), and their on-site assistance - eg with advice about where to visit on the Island. It was my Mum's birthday while we were staying there and me and my sister were in touch with Karen a lot (massive understatement!) before we arrived to arrange a number of surprises for her eg a special dinner being cooked for her, by Karen, and Karen couldn't have been more accommodating. The dinner itself was fantastic, so big thanks to Karen for all her help both before and during our trip.
Finca de Arrieta is very well located just minutes from the beach (both walking and by car) and Arrieta, where there is a local supermarket for stuff you can't get from the fabulous honesty shop on site. Arrieta is a very pretty little village.
Also on site are the wonderful donkeys and chickens, kids play area, communal pool and chill out area (where you can get WiFi - we did manage to get this in the kitchen and dining area of the Farmhouse), where you can meet other guests. We also really liked the eco ethos.
It is so lovely and relaxing here I can't put it into words. We all came back so chilled it was just superb, and of course, it was just what we wanted for my Mum's special birthday, so thanks again to everyone at Lanzarote Retreats for their help in creating a very special holiday. I will definitely be returning!

First winter holiday for us as a family. 2 seniors, 2 grown up daughters and a 4 year old. The moment we were picked up at the airport (as part of the service from Lanzarote Retreats) we felt relaxed and that our holiday had begun. We received a warm welcome by Karen who showed us around the Farmhouse. It was perfect. We all loved the concept of the Eco retreat and that was what it became for us - a retreat. Next day Renata was also extremely helpful giving us tips about Lanzarote, and was on hand and helpful all week. Tila and Michelle were perfect hosts. We loved everything about the resort. The honesty shop was wonderful and we made full use of it. The chill out area was a really nice and relaxing place to go. Yoga and stretch classes were attended. Our granddaughter loved going to collect eggs from the chickens and to feed them and the donkeys. She also spent a lot of time at the play area and made a couple of friends. We planted a cactus in one of the gardens as a tribute to a family member who had recently died. On the board by the office is a list of vacant properties which you can visit. This is such a good idea and we made full use of this facility. Each property is totally private with some outside space. The farmhouse is a lovely characterful spacious property, with three bedrooms and two bathrooms (one en-suite) inside the house, and a separate loo and shower in the outside room by the pool. The private pool is a fabulous bonus. Although the site was quite full, because of the layout and the privacy of each property we were never aware of noise. The holiday had been booked for my "significant" birthday and on the day we celebrated with lunch at a restaurant recommended by Karen and Renata (Casa de la Playa) down by the sea. It was a lovely meal and the staff were so nice and accommodating. As a surprise for me, my family had arranged for a cake to be made and supplied by Karen, and all the waiters came out singing "Happy birthday" in Spanish. A wonderful moment. That evening more surprises, my family had arranged for Karen to come in and cook us a 3 course roast lamb dinner. It was a fantastic surprise and wonderfully tasty. Huge thanks to Karen. A car included in the cost was an added bonus. We didn't venture far but enjoyed a trip toTeguise, a beautiful town. Lovely to walk around. And regularly used it to the supermarket in Arrieta a few minutes away. Prior to our visit I used the online chat facility to answer all my questions. All were dealt with very promptly and this is a great service. The few months leading up to our visit had been very difficult, in fact up two days before going away we weren’t certain if, due to health problems, we would be able to travel. Also an operation was planned for the day after our return. All these things were forgotten in the wonderful tranquil setting of the retreat and the kindness of all the staff. We all felt thoroughly refreshed. We will certainly do our utmost to return.

We have had an extremely stressful few months and desperately needed a break. Having come to Lanzarote Retreats almost 2 years earlier we thought about booking with them again. So glad we did as it was exactly what we needed. The farmhouse was gorgeous and very relaxing. We had some amazing food in some of the local restaurants (we ate way too much), had some fantastic customer service at the Finca and totally kicked back and relaxed, feeling completely looked after. We even met some other very lovely parents and kids who got on well with our daughter. I’d completely recommend a holiday with Lanzarote Retreats.

Fantastic place run by unbelievably kind people. Everywhere is spotlessly clean and well maintained. Tila and Michelle who run this resort will treat you like family and every member of staff will go out of their way to provide any help you need. On the day we left a huge storm grounded many planes. Tila dropped us at the airport with the promise of checking in with us to make sure our flight wasn’t cancelled. He checked in with us three times to make sure we were okay and offered to put us up for the night if we were stuck. A million times better than the service at many large resorts or holiday companies! If you’re looking to get away from the maddening crowds this is the place to go!
And besides the kids loved collecting the free eggs from the chickens every day!

We are very happy with our vacation at the eco luxury farmhouse. What a beautiful place. It was build by the owners, for themselves to live in. So you can imagine it is better equipped and more luxurious then you would expect from a standard vacation house. Welcoming by sally was great, we felt right at home from the beginning. Our children had a wonderful time: there's chickens, a donkey, pools and the playgrounds. We would definitely return.

We have just returned from a stay at the eco luxury farmhouse at finca de arrieta and we're delighted with the whole experience. The accommodation is first class and perfect for our party of three generations . The included car was a great bonus and we made use of it to variously go surfing , visit nearby villages and enjoy very good food, and visit the national park. Spending time on site was also good fun for our young grandson who loved the donkey, chickens,hens and well designed play area as well as the pool. The eco and off grid philosophy was well observed and we felt very well looked after. A great holiday thank you

We have just returned from the most wonderful holiday at the finca. Seven of us (aged ranged 13 months-80+ ) stayed at the farmhouse and it suited all of our very different needs. There are so many positives to say about the resort that it's difficult to know where to start. Particular highlights included the animals, the trampoline, the beautiful furniture, the honesty shop and the swimming pools which were designed in a way that made swimming with a 3&1 year old very accessible. My father and I much enjoyed a yoga session (rather mr bean me Bridget jones) and the local beaches nearby were stunning - Particularly the one near Orzola. The staff were all lovely particularly Sally who couldn't have been more helpful. Therefore if you are looking for an amazing holiday in a resort that is opposite to a package holiday resort then this is your place. We will return without doubt (probably in June!) All the best to you all.

We were 3 generations at the farmhouse. It was just splendid. Perfect for little ones, animals, toys, swimming, adventures. Plenty of space to get away from each other! Plenty privacy, appreciated the honest shop and the welcoming staff. Lots to do when we felt like it. And it was warm. Perfect hassle free holiday. Thank you

This was our first visit to the Eco Lanzarote Retreats Resort and we weren't sure what to expect. We were staying in the Farmhouse which had it's own pool and outside kitchen and sitting area. The accommodation was fantastic, with so many different/quirky seating areas all around, plus a table tennis table. We were very lucky with the weather and had sunshine everyday. We all enjoyed going to feed the donkeys and chickens every morning with all our leftovers and it was great that we were able to use the surfboards to go and have a try at surfing at Famara Beach. The staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful and we will definitely be coming back sooner rather than later :)

Stayed at Lanzarote Retreats Driftwood for a few days then Finca de Arrieta Eco Farmhouse for rest of week. It was wonderful! From the friendly welcome at the airport from Josh, the impeccable taste in furnishings, use of a car, plus the bonus of having the beach on the doorstep, we enjoyed every minute of our group holiday. Michelle and Tilla really do think of everything to make the holiday as perfect as possible!

Home after a brilliant week in lanzarote staying first at the newly acquired Driftwood which was amazing. Beautifully decorated and a spectacular glass fronted roof terrace in a perfect spot on the sea wall. Next to the Eco Farmhouse for second half of the week which was lovely - close to beach and restaurants and very laid back resort. Michelle, Tila and the team made us feel really welcome and nothing was too much trouble. Was in two minds whether to write a review of keep this gem of a find secret ! Already in the process of booking next year\'s......

I was lucky enough to muscle in, at the last minute, on a holiday my sister-in-law had already booked for my brother, their three young children and my parents. Adding me to the equation proved no problem to Sally and co at Finca, and in fact the extra cost was incredibly small. I felt included and valued from the moment I became part of the package. Upon arrival I was staggered at how big, comfortable and well-located the Eco Farmhouse was. It was clean, spacious, well-equipped, with a lovely pool area, and was absolutely perfect for all 8 of us. The little children loved feeding the donkeys and going to look for eggs from the hens, and there was a safe and well-appointed playground for them to play on. They had great fun planting their unique cactus plants in the ground nearby. Sally made this very interesting for them. The honesty shop was a real boon, for things like milk and bread and all those little extras you might have forgotten to pack. It even had a gluten-free range, which was perfect for me! Being able to sit nearby and access the internet was very useful, too. The beach was in easy walking distance and the activities available for guests were many and varied. I saw my little niece joining in with the adults for a yoga session! The service provided was exceptional - from the linen arrangements to the car we had, and the airport transfer was very helpful. I had a day to myself after my family flew back earlier than me, and Lamin drove me into Arrecife to show me where the bus stop was and where the best places to walk to were. I was very grateful. All in all, it was a wonderful holiday where all of us felt safe, secure and comfortable in a luxurious and - what a boon! - eco-friendly house. Thank you to everyone for taking such good care of us.

We enjoyed a fabulous stay in the eco farmhouse during August 2012. The accomodation is super luxurious, with extremely comfortable beds and we relaxed from the minute we arrived.
Great outdoor area with pool and chill out lounge with bbq, 5 minute walk to the blue flag beach at Arrieta and lots of nice restaurants within easy reach. Highly recommended by my family of five.

9 of us have just had a fabulous stay in the Eco Farmhouse in Oct 2012. The pool area is fantastic and the pool room was great for one family to share. Arrieta is lovely, the beach is fantastic with the most understated Tapas place that was great value and great food. If you have a car, the sandy little coves up by Orzola are so sweet and the surf at Famara beach is just amazing. It was great to be outside the tourist areas. Tila, Michelle and team were so pleasant, kind and nothing was too much trouble. The Paella evening was really good too. I would highly recommend the Finca as a great part of Lanzarote but also a great place to unwind and really get away from things and have lots of fun with your family.
