Marina Rubicon

Towards the south of the Island is the town of Playa Blanca – just a 20 minute drive from Puerto del Carmen and 30 minute drive from Costa Teguise. Playa Blanca is home of the Marina Rubicon.

In this magnificent setting, in the heart of the tourist centre of Playa Blanca and enjoying the temperate climate of the area, Marina Rubicon has since 2003 complemented and improved its facilities to become a sports, commercial and leisure centre of the very highest level accessible to everyone.

Marina Rubicon is filled with glamorous yachts, not to mention millionaires. Fine-dining restaurants serving cuisine from around the world are plentiful, as well as chic cafés. In fact, Café del Mar, which has venues across Spain and is well-known for its chilled-out vibe and music compilations, is located here. Sit back, sip a cocktail and take in the stunning views.

From Marina Rubicon you can even walk to the the nearby re-inaugurated Rubicon Commercial Center, or take part in the many other activities such as rental of sailing boats, deep sea fishing tours, and water-sports which can be arranged in the Marina at very competitive prices.

Marina Rubicon market takes place every Wednesday and Saturday and offers many local souvenir stands, local wines, cheese, and many other vendors that provide a wide variety of products to choose from. In addition, there are a variety of designer outlet shops offering clothing, handbags, shoes and the usual perfume shops. There are a couple of small boutiques and art galleries/shops dotted about too.
