Golf Lanzarote

 In

Playing golf in Lanzarote means hitting the ball and going from one hole to another with the sea as background in a climate where the temperature is between 19º C and 25ºC throughout the year. Few countries in the world can provide such conditions, where you can enjoy your favourite sport 365 days of the year.

“Lanzarote Golf” is a course catering for all levels of golfers, from professionals to those with high handicaps. It has four par 3’s, four par 5’s, and ten par 4’s with a total of 6.133m. in length. The designer, Ron Kirby, has respected to the maximum the original land and the typical Lanzarote landscape. The course has been constructed on natural hills, resulting in attractive undulations. We now have 18 holes completely open to the public and golfers can hire buggies, electric and manual trolleys, clubs, half and full sets, and receive golf classes for all ages and levels of the game.

Its location on the hills overlooking Puerto del Carmen gives it the incredible backdrop of the Atlantic ocean and the course itself is planted with numerous mature palm trees and other indigenous plants. Mindful of the environmental impact, the course has been sympathetically laid out to minimise its impact upon the surrounding countryside and incorporates an irrigation system that uses recycled water.

The friendly bilingual staff at the Golf Resort will be happy to assist anyone who wants to play a round of golf, from the absolute beginner to advanced golfers who want to improve their game. Buggies, electric trolleys and clubs are all available to hire, whilst an experienced instructor is also on hand for those who wish to take lessons, including lessons for children.

“Costa Teguise Golf Course”  At the foot of the Tahiche crater you will have spectacular view of the Atlantic Ocean. With an overall area of 6,744 m² this 18-hole, par-72 course presents a number of interesting challenges in the form of doglegs, more than 3500 palm trees, a light breeze from the ocean and the volcanic stone which replaces the usual sand in the bunkers. Designed by John Harris in 1978, the impressive features of this course are its highly varied fairways and excellent playing conditions all the year round. The facilities at Costa Teguise Golf offer everything we expect from a first-class golf course, with a driving range, putting green, pitch & putt, etc.
