Pebbles Pebbles Do you want to chill utterly and completely... then this is the place to be This has to be the best apartment in Punta Mujeres. We had a perfect, chilled out holiday from start to finish. We were met at the airport by charming, Alan, who escorted us to our hybrid car, which was ours for the duration of our holiday, and proceeded to pour us a glass of refreshing bubbly from the back of the car... I took the bottle into the back of the car with me! Alan then drove us to our destination explaining on the way the various points of interest.
The apartment was so much better than we ever imagined... the sea lapping up just below our patio door and the sound of the waves during the course of our stay was incredible. The furnishings are top notch and obviously no expense has been spared. The showers are the best and the safest that we have ever had... no slipping. The beds are bliss and the best ever. The whole apartment was immaculately clean and a welcome starter pack of Cava, tea, coffee, milk and snacks was so appreciated. The supermarket was just a short drive away to restock. I didn't expect to get Netflix on the TV which was a super added bonus to watch the many films on offer when we arrived back from an evening out at one of the many restaurants close by. Would recommend Casa de la Playa on the beach at Arrieta. La Pascina which is a very short walk to the left of the apartment along the coastline... doesn't look much from the outside but the food is good and the tables on the opposite side of the road overlook the sea which is lovely on a nice evening. Definitely visit the Sunday market in Old Town Teguise. Fantastic atmosphere and beautiful area. We had some lovely Tapas at La Bodeguita del Medio.
We absolutely loved our holiday and stayed in the North of the island having been in the South last year. We would highly recommend Pebbles in Punta Mujeres and if a larger family wanted to hire Driftwood as well, then the lovely sun terrace above, which gets the full sun all day long, would be idyllic. Thanks Michelle & Tila and all the staff at Lanzarote Retreats for creating a dream holiday destination.

Driftwood Driftwood Peaceful, beautiful appartment with panaramic views We stayed at Driftwood in April and booked it through Lanzarote retreats. What a fabulous service. Picked up from the airport and given a guided tour and tips on places to visit on way to the appartment. No fuss or hassle having to get on a bus. When we arrived at the appartment it was clean and well laid out. Complimentary tea and coffee and a well equipt kitchen. But the views were amazing. The first thing we had to do was lay on the bed and take in the panaramic views of the sea - it was like you were floating on it - amazing. Then to top it off there was a roof terrace with the most amazing day bed. Along with the appartment came a hybrid car which enabled us to get around the island. There were some lovely local restaurants that you could walk to and they served lovely food. It all the holiday was a peaceful, scenic, perfect week - I would deffinately recommend it. 410suzanne - August 2016
Casa Volcan Casa Volcan Beautiful The most spectacular thing about Casa Volcan was the views over the Northern part of the Island and Arrieta (the local village/town). The peace and quite in the evenings was lovely and I'm sure most of the noise came from our family. On arrival we were greeted by Josh who made us feel very welcome with a glass of Cava for our journey to the villa which made us feel very spoilt. The villa is perfect for large groups as there is plenty of space inside and out. My 3 boys aged 3 and 10 absolutely loved all the different levels and thought it was the best place to play hide and seek. The Villa is tiled throughout and has a few stairs leading from room to room so wouldn't recommend it for families with toddlers or babies just learning to walk. Casa Volcan is a unique villa which has been developed to a very high standard, each room was clean and well presented especially the master bedroom, this was fantastic. The Island of Lanzarote is only small so using the hire car provided by Lanzarote Retreats we were able to explore the rest of the island very easily, making the most of our 1 week stay. Finally I would like to say a special thank you to the team for helping me with my sons accident it was a very worrying time for us. Unfortunately I didn't get the Spanish gentleman's name who went out of his way to take us to hospital so please pass on our thanks, we were so grateful. Sam H - May 2016
Bermejo - Tiagua 81 Bermejo - Tiagua 81 Stayed in Bermejo for 5 nights Overall, we loved our stay. The apartment is spacious for two- things are well planned throughout . Balcony from the bedroom, was great for fresh air. We arrived late and was nice to find some drinks stocked in the fridge. The pool was lovely- parking was fantastic, but we were the only ones staying at the property at the time. What would have been great is a parisol for white English guests - who need shade now and again! Would have been helpful to have outside light when arriving late in the dark! Location is perfect for exploring the beautiful island of Lanzarote. Would come again. zoe1416 - May 2016
Rubicon Cottage - Tiagua 81 Rubicon Cottage - Tiagua 81 Special place We have just returned from an 11 night stay on the island of Lanzarote. We stayed first at the Eco retreat of 'Finca de Arrieta' (which was superb) and transferred for the last four nights to Tiagua 81 to be near to the fabulous Famara beach. Tiagua 81 is very well designed and beautifully finished. The accommodation, the beds, the pool and the sitting areas are fantastic. The pool was surprisingly warm and we stayed in it for hours on end! Famara beach is just a short 10 minute drive away and the drive is delightful in itself. We would definitely recommend Tiagua 81 as a great base to discover the north of the island. it is also well placed to investigate La Geria wine district too. VikkiRimmer - August 2016
Eco Palm Yurt Eco Palm Yurt A very special prize We stayed in Eco Palm Yurt and it was perfect. Really private and tastefully done. This is not a place for those that want manufactured fun and that is its gift. It gives space just to be a family or with us a couple. You really do need a car though and Debbie was fantastic at giving ideas about where to explore. She also showed us round the rest of the dwellings on site and every one of them was beautiful. This is a place to slow down, read books, play cards, enjoy the lovely Lanzarote wine and relax. We can't wait to get back. suzanrollins - July 2015
Eco Beach Yurt Eco Beach Yurt Perfect family holiday Just back from our 6th visit to Lanzarote & perviously we have stayed in in the south of the island in Villas (James Villas). Our stay at Finca De Arrieta has changed that. The North of the island is more 'chilled', 'Canarian" and much more in tune with what we value in holiday as a family. From the very outset, everything to ensure that our holiday was perfect had been thought about. It was such a luxury to be collected from the Airport by Lami & I now wish I had taken him up on his offer of Fizz on transfer! On our arrival it was "Paella Thursday" hosted by the lovely Joshua, we were all treated to the most delicious Paella & dare I say more Fizz. It was very appreciated after such a long journey. We were made to feel welcome & at home straight away. We stayed in the Eco Beach Yurt. It is perfectly situated with stunning views in all directions, even the shower cabana had a view of the ocean. Our girls (aged 11 & 7) had so much freedom, from collecting eggs at Cluckingham Palace, to jumping for hours on the trampoline & generally exploring the Finca unsupervised. The Finca has many unique details that sets it apart from other holiday resorts. It is totally off the grid (the cars they they provide are hybrids), encourages recycling & even has a Honesty Shop. We spent a week with very little wifi, no telly & outside enjoying the fantastic outdoor living space. There is a communal area where the wifi lives & a stack of toys & books but there is no pressure to get involved. You can be as sociable or as unsociable as you like. We were meant to do so much but fell into a relaxed routine of running in the morning (some fantastic trails for keen runners) when it was less hot, to walking to the beach in the afternoon to bodyboard, eat, drink & soak up the sun. There are two excellent places to eat at the beach (Arrieta) one a bar & the other a restaurant. The beach is so well set up with showers & foot taps. Also there is a very clean area where there are toilets & showers, so we did not really feel the need to go anywhere else! The beach is excellent for bodyboarding, surfing & swimming. There is a fairly busy road to cross but it is easily negotiated. We are all very sad to leave, certainly gets you thinking about your life & maybe there could be so much more to it. Sally & the team were really helpful, no request was too much & their hospitality second to none. Caripoule - May 2015
Villa Luna Mar Villa Luna Mar Amazing yet again. A truly luxurious villa with everything you would need for the perfect holiday. Very private with stunning views out to Puerto Calero. We have stayed in several of Lanzarote Retreats villas and have never been disappointed, but this Villa is amazing, a must see. The pool is fab, our daughter and her friend spent most of the holiday in it !! Fabulous well equipped kitchen and stunning bathrooms, perfection,
And as we have said before,

WE WILL BE BACK ! Sue & Kenny - January 2014
Ocean View Penthouse Ocean View Penthouse An absolutely fantastic stay. We had an absolutely fantastic stay at the Ocean View Penthouse. It is a huge apartment so plenty of room for the four of us! Our favourite area is the huge sun terrace which has a great view of the beach and Costa Teguise. The apartment is well equipped and furnished really stylishly and is close to everything you need, supermarkets, bars & restaurants all within a couple of minutes stroll. Although the apartment is so central, its also quite private as well so you can have the best of both worlds.

Thanks so much to the Lanzarote Retreats team who are brilliant! We will certainly be back! Yvonne - September 2014
Villa Las Palmitas Villa Las Palmitas The only place to go for quality and service. Another fabulous holiday with Lanzarote Retreats ! The only place to go for quality service and accommodation in Lanzarote, we don't even bother looking anywhere else. This villa is perfect to get away from it all, private, amazing panoramic views of sea and mountains, wonderful pool, even a games room for the kids. brilliant. This is why we do and always will use Lanzarote retreats for our very important holidays !!! See you all soon :0) Sue & Kevin Kenny - September 2014
Casa Hibiscus Casa Hibiscus Very peaceful and quiet Our stay at Casa Hibiscus was very enjoyable and facilitated a great holiday. The villa is well equipped and comfortable with plenty of room for a family with small children. The gate on the terrace also gives peace of mind if one is worried about little ones gaining access to the pool. Do bring a torch if arriving in the dark. The gateway into the villa has an immediate step up onto a bridge over the pool and it caught us out. The village of Punta Mujeres is lovely. It is very quiet so peaceful nights sleeps were had by all. We swam in the lava pool behind the villa and were sorely tempted by the ones outside La Piscina and further up the village. La Piscina was our regular morning coffee joint. The owner was happy for us to bring our own patries (postres) as he didn't sell them. We would buy our bread and posters everyday in the local mini market, all yummy and fresh. Lovely staff there by the way. We ate in La Cantina (Teguise) , Macon de Frontera (Haria), Il Lago (between PM and Arrietta) all of which were recommended and all were lovely. For super value La Chingurita by the beach in Arrietta is a knock out. €26 for a feast of delicious food including beer and juice. There is a fantastic coastal walk from the end of Punta Mujeres to the Jameos del Agua. It takes 25 minutes, just follow the white pillars in the ground. It is not difficult but you do have to watch your step on some of the route as it's uneven. But a really wonderful way to start the day with a return walk or wait until the Jameos opens at 10am and have your visit, coffee and then walk back. For kids the Rancho Texas park was great fun. The water park is super and the whole complex is immaculate. Just find out when the bird show and sea-lion displays are to organise your day. There's a lovely playground in Teguise for children. Everything Ceasar Manrique touched is joy to behold so visit all his sites. There is a lovely place in La Geria called El Chupadero that serves lovely tapas and wine but the views are the reason to visit especially at sunset. Get there an hour early to enjoy the end of the day with a glass of chilled wine and some datiles con bacon with the Montanas del Fuego as a backdrop. Bliss. For those of us who are not drinking (pregnant or driving or both) Dorada sin alchol is available everywhere and is a good alternative. There is also a super icecream parlour/cafe in Arrieta opposite the Fisherman's Cottage. Very reasonable and the staff were very kind to our son. Lanzarote is the most beautiful place and we will return year after year. Sandra Adams - January 2014
The Beach House The Beach House The beach house was perfect. The Beach House was perfect for us. Great sundeck on the roof, and lovely suntrap by the pool. It was clean, well equipped and in such a great location for the beach and nipping out for groceries. And Tania and the team were so helpful and made our stay as easy as possible. All good! Thank you so much. Izi - April 2014
Casa Lila Casa Lila Casa Lila is one of the best. Just returned from a stay at Casa Lila. Had a lovely few days, I've stayed in a few apartments on Lanzarote over the years, and Casa Lila is definitely one of the best! Well equipped, felt safe being on my own, great for a stay of a few days or much longer. Loved hearing the sound of the sea every night.. hope to return soon.. Jackie - October 2013
Arrecife Sands Arrecife Sands An absolutely stunning apartment. Arrecife Sands was firstly, an absolutely stunning apartment, and secondly, centrally located to get absolutely anywhere on the island with ease.
We had two children with us, aged 13 & 9, & it was half term, but you wouldn’t have known! It’s perfect for a grown up, sneaky weekend away, or you can have a family holiday, without it being overrun by families and loads of kids. The location was perfect as we all wanted to play ball games on the beach, read & play cards on the balcony & eat out at nice restaurants. We went off on days out on a catamaran trip with Catlanza (one of the best we’ve been on), market day in Puerto Calero (lovely restaurants and smart people), and even managed Rancho Texas water park at last, despite having been to Lanzarote five times (it exceeded expectations, was spacious, clean and decidedly pretty).
We had a car, but you don’t need one if you just want to hang out locally. There’s a beautiful beach, miles of promenade to run and cycle & loads of tapas bars & even a few high-end restaurants. There’s a pretty marina about 5 minutes cycle from the apartment, loads of quaint, local eateries with 2€ tapas & vino & plenty of shops (including Zara) if you want a mooch around.
The apartment itself is on the second floor (so no problems with mosquitos, who my daughter and I attract in abundance). There are three bedrooms so the kids had one each (plus a spare bed each), and we had an en suite master bedroom with wall to wall windows overlooking the sea, not a bad sight to wake up to after a busy few weeks in the office. The room is huge, with a massive bed, beautiful sofa and a walk in wardrobe, off near the en suite, which house a his and hers closet, so plenty of room for those who struggle to pack light.
Tila & Michelle, the owners, really think about their guests when they kit out their accommodation. There were lovely towels, a hairdryer, Blu-ray, interactive TV, coffee pot & an ice-cold glass of fizz in the fridge (there was also a lift from the airport in an eco Prius, complete with cold sparkly should you choose, and the staff who work with Tila and Michelle, Manuel & Ejidio are just awesome. And as I mentioned earlier, the location is perfect for a weekend away. It’s less that 10 minutes from the airport & you’re near the bars, restaurants and buzz of a local town in no time. Arrecife is not very touristy, & actually, there are a lot of locals out & about. There’s a 5 star hotel just along the promenade, which you can use for the spa, pool, & restaurant or pop to the supermarket for fresh groceries & cook in the very well, equipped kitchen. And that’s what’s so good about Arrecife Sands, you’re so well located the only tough decision when you wake up of a morning is, will it be the beach, mountains, shopping, eating or sightseeing? After a fresh almond croissant and strong coffee on the balcony, of course. Anna Lou - June 2014
Eco Fisherman's Cottage Eco Fisherman's Cottage Beautiful cottage with a wonderful view. The cottage was beautiful, with a wonderful view over the ocean. It was lovely to sit and eat my dinner by the sea every night. The locals are really friendly with the coffee shop across the road having WiFi – although it was slightly bizarre waving to them as I scurried down the stairs in my towel to use the outside shower every morning! I will definitely be back Joe Johnson - January 2015
Eco Luxury Farmhouse Eco Luxury Farmhouse Lots of fun with the family. 9 of us have just had a fabulous stay in the Eco Farmhouse in Oct 2012. The pool area is fantastic and the pool room was great for one family to share. Arrieta is lovely, the beach is fantastic with the most understated Tapas place that was great value and great food. If you have a car, the sandy little coves up by Orzola are so sweet and the surf at Famara beach is just amazing. It was great to be outside the tourist areas. Tila, Michelle and team were so pleasant, kind and nothing was too much trouble. The Paella evening was really good too. I would highly recommend the Finca as a great part of Lanzarote but also a great place to unwind and really get away from things and have lots of fun with your family. Eco Yurt Royale Eco Yurt Royale We cant wait to come back. Just the most fabulous holiday! Thanks so much to the team at Lanzarote Resorts for making our stay so fantastic and especially to Sally, who dealt with every request from birthday cakes to submarine bookings.
The yurt is more beautiful than any of the photos suggest and it's gigantic! The outdoor space has a flavour of Asia, which as an Asian expat I adored. The children loved every moment and quickly found friends around the pool. Highly recommended and we can't wait to come back. Clare, Julian, Rafferty and Felix - April 2013
