We had a great time in the chico Yurt. Although we were the only couple with no kids we enjoyed the ambiente. Everybody was so friendly and relaxed....just the right place to rest. The longer we stayed the more we loved the place and surroundings!
We got back last week form our holiday in the Eco Twin Yurt. We really did have the best time. I have two boys aged 9 and 5 and so we have been on a number of family holidays and I can definitely say this was the best so far. Despite the fact the weather wasn't brilliant we still had a fabulous time, which to me proves what a great holiday it was-it wasn't all about the sunshine.
We loved staying in our yurts and it was great that the boys had their own yurt so my husband and I could have our own space. Our boys did a lot of bouncing on the trampoline and really enjoyed feeding the chickens and Mollie the donkey.
The communal paella was delicious and we enjoyed meeting other guests as well as Michelle, Tila and Barry the saxophonist.
We have been on other holidays staying in huge campsites with kids clubs etc. It was so wonderful to be somewhere that felt peaceful but there was still enough to keep the boys entertained. My boys agreed that it was their most favourite holiday so far and seeing all the volcanoes really spurred on their imaginations.
We would recommend Finca de Arrieta to all our friends with children; no matter what their ages. It is the first time we've found a holiday spot that we'd all like to return to again, and hopefully we'll be able to in the not too distant future.
We have just returned from our 5th holiday in 3 years with Lanzarote Retreats (we like holidaying with them A LOT)! This was our first time in a yurt and we are now yurt converts!
Three things about eco chico yurt living at Lanzarote Retreats:
1. A Yurt is like a tardis! There is ample space for the double bed, a child's bed, a chest of drawers, bedside tables. And there is a light!
2. The kitchen area feels brand new and is well equipped. The perfect spot to grab lunch or an early evening drink before dinner.
3. The bathroom is wonderful, built around its very own palm tree. Exotic and funky, indeed!
And all this is set in your own area, with sun loungers (you can catch the sun all day long), a dining table for 4 and spectacular views! You can see the sun rise over the ocean and watch it disappear over the hills.
We travelled with our 5-year old son, who just loves the retreat.
And we love it to. It is the perfect place for a relaxing, luxurious (in a relaxed way), holiday to re-charge the batteries. We will be back!
We had a wonderful holiday in the Yurt Suite in March. Our children (aged 4 and 1) loved sleeping in the yurt, and made lots of new friends in the swimming pool and around the trampoline. The yurt was beautiful, and the location is great for exploring the island - there are lots of great places to take small children within easy driving distance. We hope to come back one day!
We really enjoyed our 2-night stay at the Eco Tower and honestly couldn’t fault it. Booking was easy, and the welcome pack and extra help getting us from A to B to our ongoing destination in Le Graciosa was fantastic and made our trip easy and hassle-free. The tower itself is stunning and the views exceptional. Highly recommended.
We couldn't have asked for a nicer time staying in the Eco Lodge at Finca de Arrieta. Our 2 year old adored Mollie the donkey and it was so nice taking her to collect fresh eggs from the hens each morning.
The Lodge itself was kitted out with absolutely everything we needed for an 8 night stay - we wanted for nothing and it was great to have the option of the odd meal delivered from Browns Deli - their pies and potato salad were fantastic!
All in all the Finca is in a great location just a short walk from the beach and all the staff are hugely friendly and accommodating.
Not much else to say except we hope to return in the not too distant future.

We are just back from a 10-day holiday in the Eco Chico Yurt and it was all and more than I had expected.
The Finca is such a peaceful and friendly place - no TV, no radio, no computer, no ringing phone - pure bliss!!
We were made to feel so very welcome - it was just perfect even if the shower was not the most powerful but it was in a bathroom with a palm tree growing through the roof!
The highlight of the holiday was seeing the moon rise out of the sea - something I had never seen before and will never forget. We will definitely come back!
Very comfy, clean and practical - thanks for all the toddler toys, plastic plates and cutlery (one less thing to pack!)...
Nice location, Lanzarote is all v accessible anyway but this was a good place for the more Spanish northern end rather than tourist laden south (though for sandcastles wind free we did still head south).
Villa Las Palmitas has a very unique location - right on the rocky coast with no other houses around except for the owner's a bit further down the road. We love the setting, 360 open views, sea in front and mountains in the back. It is not a lush vegetation type of landscape but we find it absolutely stunningly beautiful. The pictures do show the pool and the rooms as they are. We went in second half of Feb so it is still not warm, about 23C during the day. Given the setting, pool area was very windy so we were not able to use the pool as much as we'd like. Probably ok during much warmer weather. Hot tub was great. The house manager was super helpful and kind, bringing us heaters and propane for the BBQ (when we discovered can was empty). Villa is very clean. We do think it could do with more and some new utensils, knives etc. By day 7 we did not want to leave.
We stayed in the lovley eco tower for one week and it was bloooooming lovely!! The desigin of the whole place, eco tower and all the shared area was absolutly stunning, really simple and beautiful. The eco tower itself is done so tastfully its perfect for a couple to stay in. Every window you look out has an exceptional view and it was nice and peaceful away from all the noise of a mainstream commercial holiday. We would highly reccomend the paella night, it was so lovely to meet michelle and moniqe that night, and also we had a really good chat to Barry, one of their friends who plays the sax for the paella night which was beautiful.
We will definately be going back!! Everybody there is so friendly and welcoming we were sad to leave! Thank you very very very very much!!!!!xxxxxxxx
